The City of Bend will be using federal Clean Water State Revolving Funds through the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality to design and install replacement mechanical appurtenances in the City’s Water Reclamation Facility’s (WRF) Primary Clarifiers. This City project is part of a series of capital projects to maintain or improve critical treatment units at the City’s WRF. The project consists of designing and installing mechanical appurtenances in Primary Clarifier No. 1 and No. 2. The current mechanical appurtenances have exceeded their remaining useful life and have become an asset of reactive maintenance. Replacement safeguards the continued performance of the primary treatment process at the WRF.
