DESCRIPTION:<div><p>Southern Crossing Neighborhood will be holding their annual General Membership Meeting in person for the first time since 2019! The meeting will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 3 from 6 - 8 p.m. at Deschutes Brewery Mountain Room, located at their&nbsp;<a href="https://www.deschutesbrewery.com/visit-us/bend-tasting-room-beer-garden/">production brewery</a>&nbsp;in Southern Crossing.&nbsp;</p><p>The first half hour will be for socializing, with free appetizers and a cash bar available. At 6:30 there will be a presentation on Neighborhood Street Safety Program projects on Woodriver Drive and Chamberlain Street, and another by&nbsp;<a href="https://savebendgreenspace.org/">Save Bend Green Space</a>&nbsp;on the recent campaign to preserve the Canopy Trail on COID land, status of the pending sale of that land, and more. The business portion of the meeting will follow the presentation, including board and officer elections. The meeting will wrap up with closing comments by Southern Crossing City Council liaison Barb Campbell.</p></div><h4></h4><h3>It’s Board Election Time -&nbsp;<em style="font-size: 15px;">Your neighborhood needs you!</em></h3><p>This is an exciting time for Southern Crossing, with lots of change in the near and far future. You can learn what is happening in YOUR neighborhood by being on the Board of the Southern Crossing Neighborhood Association. You can also help influence growth and development by being involved, instead of just watching the changes happening in Bend. This is an opportunity to make a difference.</p><p>Board meetings are held monthly on Zoom. New board members will begin their two-year terms January 1, 2024.
