  • Introduction: The City of Bend Building Safety Division, with support from Central Oregon Builders Association and Central Oregon Chapter of the International Code Council, is pleased to provide a presentation on the Building Code aspects associated with duplexes, triplexes, townhomes and more.

The City of Bend Building Safety Division, with support from Central Oregon Builders Association and Central Oregon Chapter of the International Code Council, is pleased to provide a presentation on the Building Code aspects associated with:

  • Duplexes
  • Accessory Dwelling Units
  • Townhouses
  • Triplexes and Quadplexes
  • Oregon House Bill 2001 Changes to Bend Development Code (Allows ADUs, Townhouses, Triplexes, etc. in many residential zones)
  • Oregon Senate Bill 458 (Allows land divisions of middle housing lots into multiple dwellings on separate lots)

Topics will include:

  • Fire separation
  • Firewall types
  • Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing requirements
  • Separate utilities
  • Representatives will also be available for questions from Bend Planning Division, Deschutes County Building Division, and Redmond Building Division

The event will be held at the Bend Municipal Court, 555 NE 15th St. Bend, Oregon, and virtually.
